2 skeins Abstractions 67% mohair, 13% wool, 20% nylon. 62g—100 yds. Color: Happiness Size 11 needle. Gauge is not crucial.
To knit scarf: cast on 3 sts. Set up: R 1 (rs)—k1, (k1, yo, k1) in next st, k1. R 2—k2, p1, k2. R 3—k1, kf&b, k1, kf&b, k1. R4—k2, p3, k2. Begin chart. Only right sides are charted. For all wrong side rows, k2, purl to last 2 sts. K2. The beginning of the scarf is shaped by yarnovers that have no corresponding decreases. On the chart, these yarnovers are in red. Knit rows 1- 12 Then work rows 13-20 a total of 15 times. Work row 25-26, then work rows 27-32 a total of 15 times. Work to the end of the chart. Bind off the last 3 stitches and draw yarn through the last stitch. Cut yarn. Weave in ends, but do not cut them until scarf is blocked. To block the scarf, soak it in cool water. Squeeze out excess water and pin scarf out to dry. (Blocking wires are very helpful in blocking this scarf.) When the scarf is dry, unpin it and trim the woven in ends.
